EXERCISE – 1
1. How do you define communication?
Communication is a continuous process and an interchange of information,
ideas, facts or even feelings, between two or more people, it is a pretty
important action of our daily routine; we tell, listen and understand a lot in
each moment. It is an incredible way to participate in the society, school and
of course, business, in that way, we are able to belong, to understand… It
helps us to build relationships, doing the world more interesting and dynamic.
2. What is the role of communication in management of business?
Provide effects in people and mutual understanding, when you
are communicating something you are helping to the organization to be more
focused, motivated, responsible, etc. Communication is the principal tool to
grow inside and outside, with it, you can be sure that your team, partners,
seniors, costumers, are working well all together, because the interest,
purposes and efforts going in the same way.

What are the different purposes of communication? Briefly
explain any five of them.
For
evaluation: we need to know what is happening around us, that is the reason
why we must provide feedback about the tasks, behaviors, decisions; doing this
helps to direction the goals of achieved.
For
direction: one of the task of a leader is guide, all the levels of
management of the organization need order and confidence. Employees perform
better when they know what and how to do.
For
teaching: to teach and educate each member of the organization is vital, we
can provide the politics, rules, activities and the correct process of
something, in this way, we avoid misunderstandings, accidents, etc.
For
influencing: persuade people around you, or when someone influence you in a
positive way helps to provide an excellent environment of work, being more dedicated
and unit.
For
image building: when the enterprise is clear inside and outside about the
goals, activities, progress, compromises to the society, it is easier to
communicate assertive with each person who is involved in the process, doing
this, we will be one of the best options of organizations, which means successful
beyond profits, I am talking about social responsibility, an aspect really
appreciate nowadays.
4. Discuss the different situations
when the communication exists.
Communication is everywhere; simply, if someone has a
message, a receiver and a proper channel to send the idea or information, we
are able to follow the communication cycle. Situations in business could be
like: trainings, conferences, customer
service, meetings, for teaching, for influencing and more!
5. “Communication is an exchange of facts, ideas, opinions, and
emotions by two or more people”. Explain the statement and discuss the role of
feedback in communication.
Communication is the process where you are able to share
what is around of your head, if a tree falls, it really does? When we exchange something,
we hope a reaction, which is achieved when the receiver is able to respond us, ‘feedback’
it is important because it adds different panoramas, perspectives, ideas that
in most cases improve the initial information.
6. “Communication is the two way process”. Explain.
It happens when the communications is assertive, because we
have a sender and a receiver of the message, during this process we select a
proper channel, the communicator encoding and then the person decoding, the last
step is the greatest, the answer of the motto;
we can receive a reply for our request.
7. Discuss the elements of communication process.
Communications appears easy, but actually it needs a process
and clear steps, we should not avoid them if we want to achieve the correct
sharing of our ideas, facts and feelings.
8. Give three examples of brain drain in communication process.

When people do not speak the same language.

In cases when a person cannot understand the instructions.

For example, sometimes we do not have a good internet connection so we cannot hear the teacher properly.

DeleteI came after I saw your commentary on my blog, and actually, we have pretty similar opinions but the way you explained is even better, you did a really nice job. I agree with how you describe communication as "to grow inside and outside" because it means that we share an idea, the fact that human relations are a fundamental part of growing in every sense of life.
