Computer technology has potential to exalt
or debase the people who uses it. |
For many of us, or for the new generations
living in a globalized, interdependent world, the digital era is an everyday
thing, so many can become addicted to its use, affecting their mental and
physical health and even, instead of helping, it can affect our communication
skills with society and our ability to be self-sufficient. On the other and if we focus on issues
related to privacy and accessibility, property rights and accuracy, these are
very important because they guarantee the freedom of a human being, and have
even helped us to increase economic prosperity, security, social resilience
and environmental protection. We must not forget that humans were the
first computers, so the basis of everything is society, taking care of it,
ensures continuous innovation and the emergence of new technology that is
increasingly humanistic and careful with social, legal aspects that are
intended to provide a better quality of life, not only in monetary terms. |

It is our responsibility to ensure that information
it handles are used to enhance dignity and mankind. |
Hi Jacqueline, as always, what a great job, it looks great. your answers are objective and clear. Without a doubt, technology is the best way to take advantage of your work and it is best done when we are updated to the constant changes in the world and help to improve productivity in companies. Well done :´)
ReplyDeleteHi Karina, thank you so much for taking the time to read my post and even leaving a comment. I totally agree with you, it is very clear that technologies have changed and of course everything around them must do it too, the business world and its great ecosystem is moving towards the future, vanguard and modern ideas, which is achieved due to technologies and new inventions that make the world even more globalized, but as we saw in that topic, being interconnected brings good and bad effects, I read in your post your points exposed about that and it is fascinating that you have resumed and explained the important data such as legal and ethical courses.
DeleteGreat job and thanks for your words!

ReplyDeleteI always enjoy reading your tasks, your information is always clear and very orderly.
ReplyDeleteOur answers are very similar but in number 3 I have something different, I think you focused more on technological devices, but it is correct, our answers can be easily complemented.
Thanks for sharing, good job!
Hi, thank you very much for reading my post and for your kind words.
DeleteI was able to read your answers too, and as you mention, we have responses that can complement each other. You are right, in question 3 I have answered with several technological devices, both as programs, I can pass you my source of information apart from the video that the professor shared with us:
https://www.mikegingerich.com/blog/7-new-technologies-that-will-improve-your-business-process-and-management/
It seems to me that in this globalized world, the technologies mentioned in the article are easily used in companies, what do you think?
Hi Jacqueline, I read your assignment and I realized that your first answer about “what is managing information within and outside the organization”, it seems to me that in the video it is mentioned that the technologies managed within the organization are voice mail, groupware, CD-ROMs databases, teleconferencing and faxes. Maybe it would be a good idea to complement it :)
ReplyDeleteI could also notice that we have differences in the ethical and legal implications, but that is just the way you arranged your information. In ethical implications I mentioned that the use of technologies has the potential to exalt or debase the people who use them, and in legal implications I explained about the control of employees' task time and the reading of other employees' email, it is just an observation of how you could classify your information in one column "ethical implications" and in the other "legal implications" :D
Anyway, you have done a good job.
Hi Erika, thank you very much for your comments and feedback, I also read your post and I agree that we have written the first answer pretty differently, since in my opinion, the technological devices that you mention are an important part of the explanation to what is the management of information outside and inside the organization, but not the keywords themselves.
DeleteOf course I would use your comment to complement my answer!
On the second point, it seems to me that the legal aspects are more directed to issues related to privacy and accessibility, property rights and accuracy, in fact I could read some articles about property rights, from there I got the idea of my answer, https://boycewire.com/the-importance-of-property-rights/#:~:text=Property%20rights%20not%20only%20bring,individual%2C%20it%20secures%20their%20freedom.
If you like to read it...
You have done a good job too!
Hi Jacqueline! I agree with you in most of your answers! But in the part of do and don'ts you wrote "Use them inappropriately" I agree with you completely, when I used to work that used to be a huge problem because people doesn't limit anything and they use it inappropriately and that causes more work, and also I agree that you mentioned that "all workers are able to contribute with their activities and teamwork even if they do not share geographical space" Just to contribute to your opinion that when that happens it helps to Improve profits as people don't need to go someplace in specific and well it helps in almost every aspect.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting words, it is very good that you have shared this story with me, because I can learn from different points of view.
DeleteThank you very much for your comment, it is very accurate, I loved how you landed the problems and examples to real life.
Adding comments to your examples, I agree, that is why even the training to correctly operate these new electronic devices can be costly, besides, for the generations that are not so familiar with this technological era, it can be a problem.
DeleteHell Jaqueline, I always enjoy reading your work. This time we actually had similar answers. I specially like how you provide lots of example, so even if I didn't not understand a concept I can always read your work and make it more clear. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI am very glad that my works can help you, because I can also have problems in understanding some concepts, but reading the posts of all the classmates, I can have a better idea.
DeleteThanks for your comment, it helps me to do better!
